Why this app exists
Knowing what you want to say and getting it onto the page are different things. A familiar word can be hard to spell. A sentence can take a few attempts. Even a short message can ask more of you than someone else might realise.
SuperSpeller is a writing app for Mac built around those everyday moments. Its purpose is to make getting your words down a little easier, while leaving the meaning and the decisions with you.
That matters when you have dyslexia, when you’re writing in a language you’re still learning, and when you just need a little support. There’s no single way to be a confident writer.
What we care about
Writing that still sounds like you.
Your choice of words, your humour, your way of explaining something: these belong in your writing. We want SuperSpeller to give you room to express them.
We also believe the words you’re still working out deserve privacy. A rough draft should be a place where you can try things, change your mind, and start again.
Where we are now
There’s still work to do. Hearing where SuperSpeller helps, where it interrupts, and what feels missing will help us make it more useful for the people who write with it.
